Justus Ray'm Trio

Justus Ray'm 은 한국인 증조외할머니를 둔 파리 태생의 피아니스트이다. 현재 베를린을 기반으로 프리 임프로비제이션 신에서 활동 중이다. 뿌리에 대한 이끌림과 탐구로 시작된 이번 한국 여정은 자신을 대변하는 음악 안에서 한국 즉흥연주가들과의 만남과 교감을 통해 내면에 잠재된 자아 정체성을 찾아가는 것이기도 하다.

게토얼라이브는 Justus에게 베를린 여느 예술공간들처럼 익숙하면서도 서울이라는 도시, 한국만의 독특한 색깔을 지닌 곳으로서 새로운 예술적 영감을 불러일으킨다. 그는 이에 매우 흥미로운 공연으로 화답할 것이다.

Justus Raym (he/they) has co-founded the collective Make-Up in Berlin and curates a monthly live acts series called 'soundstainibility?'. Their research focuses on ecology of sounds. 'Our sense of hearing in a visually overdriven world'. They have presented their ideas at residencies such as LIOS labs (2021) and The Palace (2021). Their first record 'epileptic' is out on Average Negative Records (2022). They are part of the international collective of composers Ci-Community and participates to different projects throughout Europe.
